Letter to Alumni from the 2007 Championship Team

As bulldog football players, we look to the past to draw inspiration from those who have come before us.  Coaches tell the stories and relive the memories of players who have come together and accomplished the amazing title of city champions.  This past season was successful and memorable.  Our team was strong though our commitment and dedication was stronger.  This season, or any season, would not have been the same without the overwhelming support of our Alumni.  The equipment over the years has given us the opportunity to play to our full potential.  We held our heads high with pride each time we ran down the hill sporting our new blue or white uniforms.  It is reassuring to know that we have a group of individuals that are behind us every step of the way, even when it’s minus 30 and snowing in late November.  Each member of the Alumni is as important as anyone dressed on the field.  Together we are the reason why SWC is the team to beat and why the other schools envy our program.  Everyone who has played for us knows that the hard work and dedication continues on even after the uniform is hung up.  This past championship season would not be as memorable or as special without the continued support and work from the Alumni.  Thank you for everything.  Players and Alumni know that once a bulldog, always a bulldog, and that we will uphold, our colours blue and gold.
